Home Space - Home Place is a series of large format color photographs made in response to the book "Space and Place," by geographer Yi-Fu Tuan. The work combines individual spaces that cumulatively form my concept of home, as a place. The concepts of attachment, time, memory and environment guide the selection of spaces to include. The photographs were made in my hometown of Orwigsburg, a rural town in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and in the surrounding areas. These places include roads leading to and away from Orwigsburg.
