Final Choice documents the end of life, as a choice. I photographed death as a narrative in response to the onslaught of reality television or voyeurism. Billy was terminally ill for a long time. After his son passed away, he made the conscious decision to die. Home hospice care enabled him to live out the last days of his life within the comforts and realities of home. He allowed me to create these photographs without barriers.
